Happy Birthday Song

Ok so I had a great birthday weekend, but one of the highlights was my 2 little sweeties singing me a special birthday song, and I just had to post it. They learned it from Dinosaur Train on PBS. I especially love their little faces when they are 'hooting'! Enjoy!

Also I'm posting pics from Dani's and my trip down to St George. Jenn came up from Vegas with Courtney, Spencer, and Matthew to support Dani. We had such a good time. Thanks again Jenn for coming!

Sleepover!

We had so much fun tonight with Will and Melissa's kids, that we thought we would share photos. Every time the camera was on him, Nathan did the same pose...looks like some kind of gang sign..should we be worried?!? HAHA...so glad you guys could get away Bill and Melissa!

Glad to be Home

We are excited to have Mitchell home and I know that he was glad to be home to sleep in his own bed last night. He went to bed last night before I thought he would and so I searched out his camera to download all he had. I can't wait to hear all the stories that go with all the pictures.

It's not every day that we get to see Matt and Riley here in Vegas. Between Kyle and I we got to see 5 of Riley's basketball games. There have probably been hundreds of games that we have missed and we were excited to be able to watch him play and be a part of his life in this way. Great job Riley!!!!

The Italy trip!

Mitchell and his choir have spent 2 days in Rome and a day in Vatican City. By the end of today they will have performed at 2 mass' and had one 30 minute concert. Toured Ostia Antica, ancient Rome (the Colosseum, and the Forum) and are on their way to Florence. They have several more city's to visit and places to see which I will update on occasion. They will be back Monday night of next week. A 12 day trip.
We are grateful for a choir director with the incite to know how much of a learning experience this is and is making the kids keep a journal every night. I just hope Mitch takes the necessary pictures to go with the journal entries. We miss him.

Weekend of Dance

Last weekend, Danielle had a dance competition in Bountiful, and since she had to be there at 7:30 AM (yes, 7:30 AM with hair, makeup and costume on!!! insane hour for a 5 year old) she and I decided to invite her cousin Camryn, who dances with her, and my sister Tracey, Cam's mom, for a girls-only weekend. We rented a hotel room in North Salt Lake and had a great night. We took the girls to the Mayan because we knew they would love the diving show (believe me, this was a great sacrifice on the part of us moms...the food there, in my opinion, leaves MUCH to be desired...I got a Subway sandwich after dinner ;) After dinner, we checked into our hotel then went to Temple Square. We ran into some sister missionaries, and when they told Dani she could be a missionary someday, she turned to me and said, "But mommy, I want to be a mommy when I grow up!" It was really cute.

Dani did really well at the competition...she smiled the entire time and didn't look at her teacher once for help with the choreography...way to go Dani!!!

The picture I posted is of Avery, just because I thought it was cute...haha.

My World Traveler

I just checked on Mitchell's first leg on his trip to Italy. They are over Denver on their way to Newark, NJ. I'm a little nervous for him but so excited as well. Kyle told him last night that I wanted him to bring me back a pair of Italian shoes and his response was that he was sure we hadn't given him enough spending money. I wish I had been thinking "shoes" instead of "t-shirt" when I was at the currency exchange office. :)

M&M World

We had a great time when Dan, Angie and the girls came down to visit us just before Christmas. The Las Vegas bowl was awesome (especially since we won) but we had a great time with the kids at M&M World as well.

The Court Girlies

K So we've been slackers and haven't added anything to the blog for a while. We are so grateful to Jenn for keeping it up! I thought we would start mending our ways by posting adorable photos of our little ones. Our little baby turned 2 in December! I can't believe how fast time is passing. We made cupcakes and had a little family celebration, just the 4 of us (actually 6...my sister Brie and her husband Skyler are living with us.) Avery sure loved her cupcake!

Dani performed at the Festival of Trees with her dance group. This is a picture of her and Avery right before she performed. She did such a great job!

P.S. If any of you like or dislike the wallpaper I would like to know about it. I would also like to see comments made to other pages so that I know anyone is looking at them. I enjoy adding to the blog, but if no one is looking at it than I will just add to my own blog. I love you all and would like this blog to be a Court family journal. It really doesn't take me more than ten minutes to add a picture or just write something about the week or month past. I would like to know what is going on in each of your lives. We do feel a bit out of the loop down here away from you all.
